BorderUAS project attended the second project to policy kick off seminar (P2PKOS) that was organised virtually by Research Executive Agency (REA) on March 22 & 23, 2021.
During this two-day meeting, both plenary and group sessions per thematic area (INFRA, DRS, FCT, DS and BES) took place, to which representatives from 43 H2020 projects working on security domain participated. The overall goal of this event was to bring EU funded projects closer to policy officers and raise greater awareness on both sides. Besides the projects’ representatives, the participants list included REA Project Officers, EC policy officers from DG HOME, CNECT and other relevant DGs and Agencies such as FRONTEX, eu-LISA.
In this framework, BorderUAS project was presented focusing mainly on the way that the project could support, impact and extend EUROSUR handbook in both technical and operational levels. In addition, the project coordinator analysed the operational relevance of BorderUAS to the current EU needs and priorities, answering in parallel several questions related to the planning or the implementation of the project.
The second P2PKOS was the starting point of the establishment of a fixed communication link between projects and EC Agencies and DGs’ representatives, as subsequent actions for a mutual benefit will follow.
